Data Deletion Instructions – BirdSpot

BirdSpot is operated by EternalNeuron Lda, NIPC 515865850, with registered address at Rua dos Anjos 67C, 1150-035 Lisboa, Portugal.

We respect your privacy and provide users with the ability to request deletion of their BirdSpot account and associated personal data.

1. How to Delete Your BirdSpot Account

You can request deletion of your BirdSpot account directly inside the BirdSpot app:

BirdSpot app → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account

You will be asked to confirm the deletion request before it is submitted.

2. 30-Day Recovery Period

After you request account deletion, your account enters a 30-day recovery period.

During this period, your account is marked for deletion. If you sign back into BirdSpot during the recovery period, you may cancel the deletion request.

After the 30-day recovery period expires, your account and associated personal data are permanently deleted from our active systems.

If you cannot access the BirdSpot app, you may request account and data deletion by emailing:

4. Facebook Login Data Deletion

If you created or accessed your BirdSpot account using Facebook Login, you may also request deletion of data received from Facebook by emailing:

After receiving and verifying your request, we will delete or anonymise personal data associated with your BirdSpot account, including applicable Facebook authentication data, unless retention is required or permitted by law.

Some public or shared content may remain visible if it has already been shared with other users, copied, cached, backed up, anonymised, or retained in a way that no longer identifies you, unless deletion is required by law.

Deleting your BirdSpot account does not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through Google Play, Apple App Store, or another third-party platform.

If you have an active BirdSpot Supporter subscription, you must cancel it directly through the platform where the purchase was made.
